THE DOGIST'S CODE

1. Color all your work with a deep love for all dogs.

2. Be sympathetic counselor to the novice for you yourself once knew as little as he.

3. Beware of him who is quick to find fault for likely you will be his target in time.

4. Say nothing rather than out of malice, speak ill of another kennel or breed.

5. Seek business on your own merit rather than by taking it away from a competitor

6. Envy the competitor who forges ahead of you, but praise him also.

7. Win with a smile of course, but to lose with a smile lessens the defeat and requires greater sportsmanship.

8. When you lose, resolve to come back to win at a later time.

9. Show in yourself the same sportsmanship you demand of others.

10. Be the god-on-earth and all-wise master your dogs think  you are.
